What about American corporate law?
In the United States, each state has its own corporate law.  But they generally have the same or similar types of corporations.  For example , in Georgia, corporations can be for-profit companies, nonprofit organization, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and foreign (out of state) entities. Of course, you can always use your own name as your business name, which can be called "sole proprietorship".
What do I need to open a business in the U.S.?
1. Tell us what name you want to use for your business.  You need to give us more than one names because one name may have been registered by someone else.
2. Tell us where you want your business to be set up.  First of all, tell us which state you want to start and run your business.  But remember, in America, you can have one state as your business's home state, and have your business's operation in another state.
3. Tell us what purposes you have for your business.
What types of business can be formed in Georgia?
Your business can be: Business corporations, nonprofit corporations, professional corporations, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships and limited liability companies.  Companies formed in other states can be filed with the Georgia State government as “foreign” entities.
Can you help me to open a business in another state?
