To apply for employment-based green card, most architects generally go through
the labor certification process unless they qualify for the following categories.
Some architects are qualified for extraordinary ability (if they win prestigious international awards), outstanding researcher (if they are doing research) or national interest waiver (if their presence or work in the United States is in the national interest).
If some architects are hired as a college professor teaching in architecture or related field, they can get a green card through "special handling", too.
