L-1 Visa |
| L-1 Visa is used to transfer
employees (executives or managers or technical staff) from a foreign-based company to a
U.S. subsidiary or affiliate company. |

| There are two types of L visas:
"L-1A" and "L-1B". |
L-1A Visas
- "L-1A" visas are available for executives and managers.
The visa holders may obtain an initial period of stay of one year (for newly established
business) or up to three years (for established company), and a total period of stay up to
seven years.

L-1B
visas
- "L-1B" visas are available for employees of
"specialized knowledge." The visa holders can obtain a total period of
stay up to five years.
