B visa is a nonimmigrant visa for temporary stay.  The B-2 applicant must satisfy the following requirements:

1.  Must prove that the intended stay/visit is temporary.  In other word, he/she cannot show his/her intent to stay in the United States longer than the visa allows or permanently.

2. Must show that he/she intends to return to the residence in his/her home country.   In other word, he/she will not abandon the home residence.  Proof can be the title to the house, other land, and/or family connection in home country, etc.

3. Must show that he/she has sufficient financial ability to support his/her stay in the United States.  Proof can be bank deposit, affidavit of support, etc.

4. Must show that he/she comes for proper purposes, such as visiting relatives, friends, seeing doctor, etc., NOT for employment.
