Current Cap Count for Non-Immigrant Worker Visas H-1B (FY 06) as of August 4, 2005: Total Cap number: 58,200** Cases Approved: 22,383 Cases Pending: 29,556 Total used: 51,939 H-1B Numbers Available: 6,264 H-1B Advance Degree Exemption (FY 05) as of August 4, 2005: TotalCap Number: 20,000 Cases Approved: 9,557 Cases Pending: 822 Total Used: 10,379 H-1B Quota Available: 9621 H-1B Advance Degree Exemption (FY2006) as of August 4, 2005: Cases Approved: 4,212 Cases Pending:4,000 Total used: 8,212 Available: 11,788 **6,800 are set aside for the H-1B1 program under terms of the U.S.-Chile and U.S.-Singapore Free Trade Agreements and to the extent unused can first be made available for general use on October 1, 2006, the start of FY 2007. Please NOTE: the H-1B quota number for these who have only a US Bachelor's degree or have only foreign degress is very limited.
