Rumor Untrue Regarding EB1/EB2 Unavailability in August

State Dept. advises that a rumor circulating on some listserves that the employment-based first and second preferences will be going unavailable for the remainder of the fiscal year is NOT correct. The August Visa Bulletin is not yet published, but we are advised that both categories will remain Current in August. It is possible that EB-2 will go unavailable in September either for India and China or worldwide in the second half of the month only, but DOS is not yet certain whether that will be necessary.
