| To apply for employment-based green card,
very few artists go through |
| the labor
certification process. |
|
| Most artists are qualified for extraordinary
ability (if they win prestigious international awards). Very few artists get
green cards through outstanding
researcher (because very few of them are doing research. If there are some
artistic researcher, they are the artists, too) or national interest
waiver (because it is very difficult to prove that an artist's presence or work in the
United States is in the national interest). |
|
| If some artists are hired as a college
professor teaching in arts or related field, they can get a green card through "special handling", too. |
|
| Please note: The term "Artist" is a
very general term which cover all different types of artistic talents. We have
handled immigrant petitions for so many "artists", such as Folk Dancer, Ballet
Dancer or Ballerina, Photographer, Painter, choreographer, designer, calligrapher, Martial
artist, pianist, violinist, etc. Do not disqualify yourself TOO SOON. Ask us first if you have your
unique talents in some way. |
|
| We suggest you email us your resume and a brief introduction of
your current work and let us do the evaluation work for your green card options. |
